Beton42 started in 2017 with a single commission — a 45 m² bar with no budget for mistakes. The studio still runs on the discipline that job taught: draw only what you can build, and build exactly what you drew.
Jair Navarro
Jair came to architecture through construction sites, not the other way around — years of watching good drawings fail in bad hands, and deciding the same hand should do both. He leads concept and technical development on every commission, from a 45 m² bar to a 4.2-hectare master plan.
What he cares about in a building: the first ten seconds. The moment you step in and your shoulders drop — or don't. Everything the studio draws is in service of that moment.
Studio Partner
She leads interior architecture, materiality and the craft of detail — translating concept into atmosphere. The light, texture and rhythm that make a Beton42 space feel unmistakably its own pass through her drawings first.
What she cares about in a building: how a room sounds. Hard rooms photograph well and live badly — so she designs for the ear as much as the eye, and the photographs turn out fine anyway.
We take on a small number of commissions each year and stay with each one from first conversation to last joint. No handoffs, no account managers — the person who draws your building is the person on your site.
We start from your brief, your site and your customer — not a house style. The concept comes before the mood board.
Plans, light studies and material palettes are developed together, so function and feeling are designed as one thing.
Full construction documentation and detailing in-house, so the built result matches the drawing.
We build what we draw. Site supervision and construction keep the concept intact to the last joint.
